Over the years, traveling has become one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy exploring new places and experiencing their culture not only through the architecture but also the cuisine. No matter where you go to visit, there are always exciting foods to try out. Here are a few dishes from countries around the world that every foodie should put on their list.

Masala Dosa

This Southern Indian meal is very similar looking to a crepe and usually serves as a vegetarian option. The crispy exterior is filled with potatoes, peas, and various meats for people to choose from. Masala dosa is also made with many spices to give eaters the kick they didn’t know they needed.

Seafood Paella

This dish is perfect for all of the seafood lovers out there. Seafood Paella is a Spanish dish consisting of crustaceans and shellfish over a bed of paella (Spanish rice), and the best thing about it is that there’s no set amount of seafood you can put on the dish. Many people use crab, lobster, clams, mussels, or crayfish in their mix. This meal is usually made without vegetables and seasoned mildly to let the seafood taste do the talking.

Poutine

In Canada, you can often find this dish at plenty of restaurants. Poutine is a staple dish that is a little twist to french fries. The fries are covered with brown gravy and topped with melted cheese curds. Some places add a particular ingredient or add on to put their mark on this iconic dish.
